Problem Solving
Rarely do I go down for lunch breaks. Most of the time, I eat packed lunch which my Mom prepares every morning inside the office. I seldom go out for snacks even if there are several convenience stores nearby. Not even the 15 Peso Hershey's Ice Cream can make me walk the few steps to Mini Stop. All for one reason: I'm a loner! Dressing up + 37Âșc outside temp = STAY INSIDE THE OFFICE!!!
I have a bad temper. I think it runs in the blood. One morning, the boss hit the boiling point as soon as he saw the tiniest mistake on the drawings for checking which gave him the ammo to talk dirty on me. Most of the time, we learn the lessons the hardway. And all we can do is:
1. to suck it all up;
2. try our best to extract whatever good point there is between the lines thrown to us;
3. freeze the emotions and make the the brain do all the work.
Unfortunately, I was malfunctioning again that morning. There was no way, I were able to stop the 2,412 drops of tears.
Came 4PM, the boss arrived without notice. I received no apologies but he was able to erase all the ugly feelings I have when he handed me the melted 15 Peso Hershey's Ice Cream from Mini Stop.
Amazing! It was the cheapest yet the cutest thing my Father did to me.
Problem Solved.
